Hi, I'm Maple!

Maple is a sweet German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix around 6 years old.

I love to cuddle and be around my people. I know basic commands like sit, lay and shake. I love treats and very motivated when you use them with me. Essentially, I love doing tricks for treats.

I'm smart so I am housebroken and I tell my foster parents when I need to go out. I love looking out the window at cars going by on the street. I get along well with other dogs my size and may not bowl you over with love and kisses immediately when I meet you but I definitely will once I know you a little bit more. Once I know you I won't want to leave your side and will be your most loyal friend. I love going for walks to smell all the new smells. I really would be a great addition to any family, I just want to live out my latter part of my life with a loving family!

Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
