My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hanna is a comical dog who loves with her whole heart. She is great at the game of 'flirt' and will gaze at you with her big brown eyes and beg for pets. She is equally smitten with dog friends and will happily join in a game of tag. She has great manners and will show her glee with blissful tail wags. Hanna has put on some extra 'covid weight' and needs to be put on an exercise regimen so she can frolic to hear heart's content. She's currently at 68 pounds and should weigh about 45. We'll need someone to commit to helping her take off those extra pounds! She absolutely loves being active, so shedding those extra layers of chunk should be a welcome challenge for her. Hanna loves to go on adventures like hiking and camping, to the lake and going for rides. Squirrel patrol is one of her sworn duties and she will keep the neighborhood safe from them. This girl is so unique and truly special. She has a low-rider body, the biggest smile, and will keep you entertained.

We are looking for the perfect match for our Hanna girl. She was rescued from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded Texas shelter simply because her number was up. Dolly's Legacy rescued her and promised her a bright future!

Hanna is a Basset Hound/Cur mix, weighs 68 lbs (needs to lose 20+) and was born approximately 9-1-19. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & started on preventative. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.

We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment.
