Letter to my adopter

Hi! My name is Bella, and my life has been rather tragic before coming to the shelter. As a kitten, I was endlessly terrified, hungry, and cold. That changed when my rescuer found me in a park, shivering and begging for food in the middle of winter. So far, it looks like I’m not as lucky as many of the other kittens that were rescued around the same time as me. That makes me wonder why — is it the color of my coat, or the way I get shy around strangers at first, after everything that has happened to me? Or maybe it’s that sudden burst of confidence that I gain once I finally get comfortable… 

Now, 2 years later, I am an adult. My biggest dream is that one day, I, too, will have a human who will stop by and say, “She’s mine.” A forever family that will love me just the way I am, with my luscious black coat — and that little white ‘bikini’ on my tummy ;)

Ideally, I would prefer to be the only feline in your home. (Not that I don’t like them — to be honest, your undivided love and attention is all I want after spending such a long time without that #1 human in my life!) In turn, I will happily snuggle up with you and give you my unconditional affection and wholehearted loyalty. Come meet me and I’ll immediately steal your heart!
