Hi I'm Drax,
So here I was in a shelter up in Orangeburg, SC with large painful masses of tumors on my body, heartworm positive and looking “pit”-iful and with no adopters willing to take me in to their family :(
I am approximately 2-3 years old American Bully. The shelter I was at originally was pleading for funds for a rescue to take me in….and nobody bit but guess who showed up on their front porch to come save me? You guessed it WTWTA. I must say they are some pretty rad people for us long shots .
Once WTWTA took me into their pack my life changed in a way I didn’t think was possible. They didn’t waste time. They immediately made an appointment for surgery to help remove my painful tumors (non-cancerous) with one of the best surgeons in the area. Now their gone I’ve never felt better. What a weight off my shoulders….literally! Life is great! Now, I make people around me laugh with my grunt and snort sounds. They think I maybe 1/3 pig, 1/3 dog and 1/3 rhino …because the way I move reminds them of a big rhino.
When I want to be near you, I dig my front paws into the earth, bury my shoulders low to the ground, and truck to get to you like a happy rhino. Although, I may be mixed with rhino, pit-bull, giant bearded dragons and who knows what else I’m a super chill and loving pup that’s as sweet as can be.
I am fully vaccinated and neutered. I am, however, heartworm positive. That doesn’t scare me though WTWTA knows how to take care of kiddos like me. I am great on a leash and will go where you lead me, unless I see something really fun or someone I love then Ill go excitingly in that direction like a baby rhino. Then I transform into a rhino hulk. I’m good with small dogs. If I’m being honest, I prefer humans over animals. I do not favor large alpha dogs. I like solid companions.
So If you’re a laid-back lad or family that wants to chill and go on walks and snuggle on the couch I’m your guy.
