My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is "Sparky". He was on the euthanasia list at MDAS because he is blind. He is believed to be a Lhasa Apso and when pulled he was overweight at about 29 pounds. That was a year ago. He now weighs close to 50 pounds!!! He is always hungry and thirsty. He may have SARDS which would explain his blindness and appetite. Sadly there's no treatment for SARDS. We have run bloodwork, x-rays, and urinalysis. The adopter wants us to rehome him. "Sparky needs an angel.
We are asking for a medical foster. We will cover his Veterinary bills. He needs to lose this weight! He needs exercise and a controlled diet. Presently he is alone about 9-10 hours a day.
We are looking for a very special human to help us save "Sparky". Long term foster would be great! Please contact Megan 239-963-5367. "Sparky is in SW Florida.

More about this rescue

Collier Animal Rescue is an organization created with the purpose to rescue domestic animals that do not have a home or have been abused in Collier County Florida. Volunteers will be providing them with food, water, shelter and veterinarian care. The organization will also be providing rehabilitation therapy that will help the animals heal from being abused. Once the animal is healthy it will be placed in a loving, caring home. The organization plans on including local high schools the opportunity to volunteer and learn being responsible for others as well as opening their eyes on what is happening to innocent animals every day. This organization will be funded with donations from the local community.
