My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wasabi Wally
is a handsome silver, charcoal, white and tan short hair male approx. 2yr. His adoption fee is $75.
He has been vetted, neutered, is healthy and pleasantly plump.
He was a skinny boy when he was found on the canal bank last winter. He was so sweet that he had to have a family but they were irresponsible, never got him neutered, they let him outside and didn’t look for him when he got lost.
He had to fend for himself and the other strays didn’t treat him well so he will be happiest as the only pet, to have his people all to himself.
PETS ARE FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE GET HELP IF YOU CAN NOT KEEP A PET. MAKE THE EFFORT! IT’S A LIFE!
Most kitties don’t just go into a new home and own it, they need an adjustment period.
You cannot force him, that will scare him. Actually, you cannot force any cat, period.
After his adjustment period Wally is a very happy fun playful boy. He is young and has lots of energy. If you don’t play with him and wear him out daily, he will get pent up and do silly things like wack your feet when you walk by. As cute as it sounds it is not good behavior and can’t be encouraged. He must simply be played with and worn out morning and night. He loves interactive toys like feather on a stick, shoe lace drag and laser lite as well as the Fling ama String and the $2 ‘cat dancer’ toys.
After he is worn out now its time for love, affection and attention.
He loves kitty treats, cardboard boxes and a rectangle corrugated scratcher that lays flat on the floor and a tall cat tree sitting in front of the window with sun rays beaming in.
He will expect to share your bed.
He has been free fed quality hard food (quality meaning the first ingredient begins with meat) and gets up to a can of Fancy Feast morning and night.

Below information is for preventative purposes…
Too many male AND female cats are getting the
UTI - urinary tract infection and crystals in their urine.
It’s a blockage, it’s painful and if ignored will lead to death.
Vets say the hard food is at fault because it does not deliver enough liquids. It’s simple to monitor. Just make sure there is at least one good size pee ball in the litter box a day.
Kitty fountains are effective to help manage a cat’s fluids. A diet of good quality canned food pate is better than dry food however there are some dry foods that are pH balanced and help maintain Urinary Tract - UT health like Blue Buffalo, Purina Pro Plan, Purina One UT health, Iams UT health.
For a kitty that doesn’t like canned food, try squeezables, packet or tube foods morning and night.

Cats/Kittens are an 18 year commitment!
