Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Greetings! My name is Echo! I am 4 years old. I am a mix of Blue Heeler and Great Dane. I may look intimidating with my size and bark, but actually I am a gentle giant! I love human interaction! I am one of the favorites with a lot of the volunteers here at E.A.R.S. Some of the volunteers call me a goof because I love to toss my toys around and act like a goofball when I’m playing in the pond or paddock.
I am also very smart! I know come, sit and shake. The volunteers have been working with me to make sure that I retain the skills that I have learned. For example: I know to sit before each meal. The volunteers will also challenge me by asking me to bring them a toy when we play in the kennel. When I go to the pond or paddock, I always bring my favorite toy of the day with me. The volunteers always make sure that I bring it back.
Even though I am a big dog, I do have a lot of energy. My new family must have the time and patience not only to keep my physically stimulated but mentally stimulated as well. They should continue to work with me on the skills I already know and be ready to challenge me with new skills. I would do well with a family with kids as long as the family understands that I am a big and strong dog. It would also be good for my new family to know or have an understanding of how to handle a big strong dog like me. I do okay with other dogs and farm animals. We are unsure how I would do with cats at this time. I am neutered and housebroken.
My adoption fee is $300.00.
