My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Tesla! I’m a little bit special. You see when I was just 4 weeks old, only 12oz, I was dropped off at the high kill shelter with a broken femur. They said I had two hours to find a rescue or they would euthanize me. Thankfully foster mama and our great orthopedic surgeon were willing to take me on. I had my femur repaired but was having issues walking on the other side. As I grew it finally revealed I had a subluxated hip but it healed up. I was still having issues walking and since I was bigger you could see better, there was a curvature in my ankle, something that was likely caused by the trauma that broke my femur and hip. There’s nothing that can be done about it. I just walk a little different, but it doesn’t slow me down! Just sometimes my leg slips to the side if I’m running too fast. I LOVE people, other animals, toys, food, beds...I love everything! I have a secret...I actually really like dog toys! I have a pterodactyl dog toy I LOVE and carry everywhere that someone from the orthopedic surgeons office bought me because i loved the one at the clinic so much. I hope someone will still want to adopt me even though I’m a little different.
