My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dusty and Danny. These beautiful blue siblings came to us as very young kittens with severe eye infections that have resulted in losing their vision. Dusty has had both eyes removed and Danny just the one. Danny has limited shadow vision in the one eye that is left. Though it may not pretty looking, there is no concern and it is just a cosmetic scar.

Danny and Dusty are both very loving and have adjusted to life with little to no vision. The way they play and do typical kitten activities, you'd swear they could see, especially Dusty. They do not have any particular special needs, other than it's not recommended to make often changes to furniture locations and such. They will adjust and learn their environment but is best to do at a slower pace.

We have suggested no young children since they both need caution when picking up or setting down. Blind kitties can be startled easily when not on a solid surface and they have to be placed completely down. They cannot and should not be allowed to jump from someone's arms. Older children can be shown how to properly hold and set them down.

They are both very cuddly and love to be snuggled in a lap. Though they don't need each other to navigate, they do need each for companionship and will seek each other out. They do well with other kitties and small dogs once they get to know them. So other pets in the home will be ok as long as they will not bully them. If you think you have to purrfect home for these two beautiful special kitties, please contact us for an application. You won't regret adding them to your family. Adoption fee includes booster vaccinations, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip and felv/fiv testing. Adoption fee $100.00
