My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cooper is a young pointer mix, around  1-1/2 years old and approximately 35 lbs. He was found minutes from death, starved and sick. After much care and amazing vets, he’s now a healthy, happy boy. He still enjoys puppy playtime, but has learned rules, manners & boundaries while with his foster family. Cooper is crate and house trained, loves to take walks, play in the yard and does a few tricks for treats. He does good on his walks, friendly to people and other dogs he meets. He’s been great playing with all dogs at daycare. His favorite thing to do is wrestle with his four legged foster sister, but overall he’s very calm and has lazy days. He’s shy at first, but warms up after you gain his trust. We do not recommend young children in the home as they may not understand that boundary and can frighten him. He is sometimes timid when meeting men, but will relax once he’s gotten to know them and trust is gained. Once you’re his person, he will follow you anywhere and loves to love! Cooper just needs someone who is patient, to give him the time to warm up to them. He goes everywhere with his foster mom, loves head pets and giving out kisses.

Due to his rough start in life, Cooper does have special dietary needs. He requires reduced-fat dog foods and is on a prescription of pancreatic enzymes, which runs around $50 a month. We hope that won’t deter you from adopting this sweet, sweet boy!  He would love a home and family to call his own! Can you be his forever person?
Cooper has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150
