My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Indy, a beautiful 1 year old shepherd/beagle mix (age and breed is a guess). This little nugget is 40 lbs of sweetness and love. Although we're still getting to know Indy, we're fairly confident that in her past life she was a warm blanket. Indy's motto is if sitting next to you is good, laying on top of you is even better.

Indy can be a bit timid at first when introduced to someone or something new, but she quickly warms up and shows herself to be an incredibly affectionate and gentle dog. She is fantastic with the small kids and dogs in her foster home, and is learning from the resident cat with a great deal of Tortitude that cats are to be admired from afar.

While Indy enjoys chewing on toys and finding the perfect spot outside in the shade to lounge in, snuggling with people remains her favorite thing to do. Indy would do best with an adopter that can provide her with patience and consistency so that she learns that the world is not so scary. Indy is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out; she is currently working on crate training.

She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.

***Please note that our first step is submitting an application (it does not commit you in any way but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit).  In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
