Hello from Zoey.....
I have a very sweet nature, hugging is my favorite. I also enjoy giving big, sloppy kisses. I'm nine years old but don't let that fool you. I have a dance party every morning with my foster mom and we take walks daily. Honestly, we could take longer walks, she wears out first! I do pull on my leash but I am quite smart and working with my foster mom to learn how to walk nicely. I can chase a ball as much as you're willing to throw one. The squeaker, the better.
My greatest joy in life is running around the yard, sniffing all the sniffs and barking at the squirrels. I get the zoomies all the time and have enjoyed sticking my face right into the snow drifts! I'll let you know when I need to go out by going to the door and standing by it. I'm fully house broken and can be trusted in the house for longish periods of time with no accidents. I sleep in my own bed but would prefer to have my bed near your bed. I don't like closed doors at all!
I enjoy a leisurely meal and and all the treats! I especially like strawberries, bananas, and cheese. I share a bowl with my two foster doggos, because sharing is caring. They are a lot smaller than me so I try to take care of them and play gently. I patiently wait my turn for both food and treats. I enjoy meeting other doggos on my walks as well. I have very little experience with small humans, so it would be best if you have no kiddos or older kiddos.
Like other weims, I do enjoy checking for treasures in the trash and can shred a facial tissue with record speed. It would be great if you have a trash can with a lid because I can't promise to not go treasure hunting. I am a bit of an attention hound and will press against you if I think you're ignoring me for too long.
I love talking with my foster mom, I'm very vocal when I'm comfortable. Once I get to know you, I love showing off how I know how to sit, stay, and shake. I promise to meet you at the door every day with excitement and doggy twirls!
My perfect home would be one with an active, female human for me to bond with. I'm fine with other dogs in the house but haven't been tested with cats or kiddos. I need a fenced backyard to run around in. I truly am a gem of a dog and will make a great addition to your family!
