My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blue is a stunning petite pittie boy. At just 2 years old and 50lbs of compact goodness, his soulful eyes will stop you in your tracks. He loves the snow, his humans, rolling on his back, and playing with his toys. While he is a food expert, and can rival any Food Network judge, he will respectfully (and silently) unleash his doe eyes and beg to share your dinner. Blue will also (shamelessly) steal your heart. With his perfect size, adorable markings, and personality, he is irresistible.

We rescued Blue off the euthanasia list at the city shelter. Unfortunately, he was slated to be put to sleep due to his deterioration and poor behavior at the shelter. Blue’s owner surrendered him to animal control after his owner couldn't keep him due to family issues. As a result, Blue spent the last weeks of his time with them locked in a shed. Before this, Blue was used as the family’s guard dog.

With his past, Blue had a hard time trusting humans. Moreover, his former home taught him to be wary of all strangers. Once he knows you, though, Blue is loving, affectionate, trusting, and loyal. In order to help him overcome his former life, Blue needed to go into a board and train program. This training prepared him for adoption and allowed him to be comfortable with a wide range of people and situations.

Blue would do best in an adult only home where he can have the structure he craves. He is happy in an apartment, house, city, or suburban environment. Our boy has only one request, that you love him unconditionally and provide patience. His board and train program does come with unlimited training sessions for Blue and his humans!
