Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blue is a year old, deaf, neutered male Blue Heeler. He does well with dogs, and kids. He will need extra attention due to not being taught good heeler puppy behavior. Unlike his litter mate, his first person left him alone a lot in a kennel. A Heeler needs a job, they are a working dog, so you shouldn't expect them to be a stay-at-home family dog. These dogs do better when housed with older children as they have a habit of herding smaller children, nipping at their heels. At this time, we prefer someone with knowledge of deaf dogs so that training will be appropriate for him. His ball is everything to him, so much so, we only allow him to have it when outside. He does great at the park with his ball and he enjoys doggy daycare. He does have energy and if he weren't deaf, he would most likely be herding. Once he knows you are his person, he loves to snuggle and just sit with you. If you are interested in Blue, please fill out the adoption application and it will come directly to us.
