My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing our sweet senior girl, Eve! 🐾

Eve may be a senior, but she's got a heart full of love and energy to share with an active family. She's a chunky bundle of joy who's on a mission to find her forever home with a loving family. Here's a little bit about her and what she's looking for:

🐾 Home Recommendation: Eve is looking for an active family who can keep up with her enthusiasm for life. A fenced yard would be ideal for her so she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. Eve loves her daily walkies, which not only help her stay in shape but also give her the chance to explore the world around her. She's quite the explorer and has been known to hop a fence in her quest for adventure!

👶 Kids: Nanny Evie, as we affectionately call her, is a gentle giant when it comes to children. Her "fat rolls" might knock them down, but don't worry; she'll shower them with love and affection as soon as they hit the ground. Eve hasn't shown any toy or bone guarding tendencies, but it's a good practice to reserve those activities for crate or alone time, just to be safe.

🏠 Crate/Potty Training: Eve is a model of perfection when it comes to crate and potty training. Since her intake, she's been impeccably clean and well-behaved. You won't have to worry about accidents with this girl! She's also a fantastic travel companion and enjoys car rides.

🐕 Leash: Eve is a strong walker who's getting better with each passing day. While she knows the "sit" command, she has a bit of an "ants in her pants" situation and doesn't stay put for long. Her excitement is contagious, and she's always wiggling with joy. She might be vocal when she wants your attention, doing a happy dance and a little dog whine that says, "Look at me!" She thrives on positive praise and attention.

Eve is a special senior looking for a family who will appreciate her zest for life and shower her with the love and attention she craves. If you're an active family with a fenced yard and a lot of love to give, Eve could be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet her and let her charm her way into your heart! 🐶❤️ #AdoptEve #SeniorLove #ForeverHome

More about this rescue

Our goal is to help the animals and citizens that need us.
Our reach is far, wide and we do our best to never refuse aid. Through education, support and life saving,we hope to make a difference in Connecticut.

We strive to get as many dogs adopted as possible via our rescue. We have our own dog shelter and hold weekend adoption events to find forever homes for our pups. We provide veterinary care, behavioral assessments and training to make each animal successful in its new forever home. Though we no longer adopt cats out, we do assist other local rescues in the networking of homeless cats, including trapping and trap-neuter-release.

We collect food, toys and other needs for our rescued dogs including veterinary donations for their care while in rescue. We network for dogs at local shelters and lend a hand to our rescue friends whenever we can. We also advocate for the well being of the dogs and their living conditions and strive to better improve the long standing customer service issues at many Connecticut Animal Control facilities. We also help the public with questions, training, referrals to veterinarians etc. Through constant media promotion and proper assessments of the dogs, we hope to save as many lives as possible in our day to day mission.

This RESCUE group is CT registered and has APPROVED 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to Brass City Rescue Alliance are tax deductible.
