My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roux B! (That’s “Ruby” with a little Southern flair, y’all!) “Now, I’m not lookin’ for romance—but I am lookin’ for a real connection, sugar.” Age: 6 years young Breed: Pocket Pittie (sweet, petite, and full of personality!) Roux B is the definition of a Southern belle—graceful, charming, and just the right amount of sassy. She might be a little shy when y’all first meet, but give her a moment to warm up and she’ll be curled up next to you faster than you can say “sweet tea.” Her Manners (and she’s got plenty!): Housebroken & crate trained (no fuss, no mess) Knows her commands: sit, stay, down, and shake (she’s a lady, after all!) Waits patiently for permission before eating or leaving her crate Walks like a dream on a leash—classy and polite Other Pets: Miss Roux is a bit of a diva and prefers to be the queen of her castle. While she currently lives with other dogs, it took some time for proper introductions. Truth be told, she’d love to be your one and only, soaking up all the love and attention herself. Cats? Oh honey, that’s a no ma’am. Roux considers cats her sworn enemies and would prefer to keep a respectable distance—like, across the county. Kiddos: Roux adores older, respectful children who understand her energy. She does get the zoomies now and then, and might bowl over a little one with her excitement, bless her heart. Her Guilty Pleasures: She’s a true foodie, even if she’s terrible at catching treats (A for effort though!). And don’t be surprised to see her chasing a red laser light at night—it’s her favorite workout, and keeps her lean, strong, and ready for life’s next adventure. Her Dream Home: This gal’s ideal match is a confident, assertive person who knows how to be a leader with love. Whether you’re a trucker, an RV traveler, or just someone who enjoys the open road, Roux is ready to ride shotgun. She lives for a good road trip, but is just as happy snuggled on the couch with you for movie night. Roux B is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250 (out-of-state). So, what do you say, darlin’? Ready to make this Southern sweetheart your forever co-pilot? Apply now: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=SQYPSGVQ

Additional adoption info

With an approved application, applicants are considered for the pet they have applied for. Our goal is to make the best match for both the adopting family and the pet. Applications are NOT considered on a first come first served basis. Following an initial meet and great, potential adopters must pass a home inspection and sleepovers are strongly encouraged to ensure a perfect fit. Upon approval, the adoptive family is required to pay a fee and sign an adoption agreement. Fees are $200 for a puppy under a year and $150 for adults and include spay/neuter, current vaccines, microchip and many wonderful years of companionship.
