!! I'M CURRENTLY IN THE SHELTER !! !! I'M IN NEED OF A FOSTER HOME !! Hey pal, wanna build a tree fort? Wanna go swimming in the swimming hole? How about riding our bikes at top speed? If you long for some old-fashioned fun with your best pal, Zuko might be just the guy to join you! He's an exuberant, athletic, super friendly 3 year old old lab/bully breed/mutt who came to CCR from a shelter in Arkansas where he had been found stray. Zuko thinks everything is the most fun - and when Zuko is around, everything IS the most fun! He'd love an active home where he could get lots of playtime, exercise, and attention. This guy is eager to soak up all the adventure and love you have to offer. He'll do well with other rowdy dogs who don't mind his goofball antics. Because Zuko is still a teenager, his new family should plan to give him nice long walks, lots of things to do and think about, and then lots of snuggles at nighttime when he's finally tuckered out! Zuko will do well with hearty kids who aren't scared by his big dumb energy! He may even adapt to a confident cat with a nice slow intro.
Zuko can easily be startled by people that come up and surprise him, so he does require some special training! Please reach out to us with questions if you are interested in fostering him!

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
