My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Bright is currently in a foster home. He is available for adoption! To meet Bright, please email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org!**

If you're feeling a little down or lonely, Bright is here to brighten up your world! This 11-year-old Great Dane/pittie mix, tipping the scales at 84 pounds, is not just a dog-he's a beam of love and light in furry form!

Despite his size, Bright has a heart of gold and a penchant for snuggles that would put even the coziest lap dog to shame. He's a big softie who adores nothing more than cuddling up with his favorite humans and basking in their affection. Bright might look like a tough guy, but he's really a love bug who likes to play!

Now, let's talk about Bright's quirks. He's a bit of a scaredy-cat, like an elephant who sees a mouse, especially when faced with new environments or loud noises. But once he feels comfortable, he's a whole new dog! Bright absolutely loves going for walks in the woods, exploring all the sniffs, and then coming home to a cozy snooze.

Currently living in a foster home, Bright has won the heart of his foster mama, who describes him as an absolute doll. However, due to his tough early life, Bright has some issues sharing his space with other dogs, so he'll do best as the only furry friend in the home.

We're on the lookout for a low-key suburban or rural home where Bright can stretch his legs without the hustle and bustle of city living. Private yard? It's his retirement dream! He's a mellow, easygoing guy who's simply looking for a mellow, easygoing home where he can finally find the love and security he deserves. If you're ready to welcome Bright into your heart and home, get in touch today!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
