My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Paloma is a senior gal - she is about 11 years old and weighs 17 pounds.  We are not sure what her breed mix is though.   She was surrendered to a local shelter because her owners no longer wanted her.  Well we certainly wanted her and know someone else will too!

Paloma is a low key dog.  She immediately found a bed in a corner of the house and she claimed it as her own and she likes to make sure everyone knows it's hers and only hers!  Paloma was probably an only dog for the majority of her life and would like to go back to that instead of the crazy pups she has to share her foster home with.  She isn't aggressive, she just barks at them.  Paloma is leash trained and likes to go for slow paced walks - she's no speed walker! We have not put her in a crate because she stays in her bed without issue.  Paloma appears to be housetrained but please expect some accidents as she learns a new routine and home.  She did have a couple accidents when she first arrived to rescue but has since been good.  She does have a fully fenced yard in her foster home and she likes to be out there with her foster mom is puttering around the yard.  Paloma is ok with cats but will bark at them.  Paloma's coat is soft and very low shedding.  She came to us with a lot of scabs and discoloration around her rear end.  We think she had fleas that caused her to scratch and chew herself.  She has enjoyed all the baths and brushings her foster mom has given her!  She likes to meet new people.  Paloma is a gentle dog that deserves a happy forever home in her senior years! Her ideal home would be a low key quiet home with an older person or two to spend the day with.

Paloma is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $275
