Sophie is a friendly and energetic puppy. She's been around small children, cats, and dogs of all sizes, and is friendly and gentle to all of them. She has good potential to be a family dog since she is so great around children. Does go after rats, so may have potential as a hunting companion too!
We got a call from a local veterinary hospital 4/15/05 that two puppies had been brought in to be euthenized. They said there was nothing wrong with these two, except that they were unwanted and the shelter was out of space.
She has the coloring of a German shorthair or Wirehair pointer, but the soft texture of a labrador. She's got mostly dark cocoa fur, with bits of lighter chocolate mixed in, and all four feet have black/white flecked socks. The vet was labeling her (and her companion) and "lab mix" puppies. She's probably going to be a medium/large dog when she growns up (the vet estimated 50-75 pounds). At 12-15 weeks old; as of 4/18/05 she weighed 22 pounds.
Sophie and Buster were de-wormed Sunday, 4/17/05, and got their rabies and 5-way vaccinations Wednesday, 4/20/05.

There is a $100 refundable spay deposit for Sophie's adoption as she is too young to be spayed right now. The $100 deposit will be refunded upon proof of spay (required by 7 months of age).
