Additional adoption info
By application either in person or online. Online go to poteaupets.org. Click the "Application" link and it will take you to our online application form.
Adoption fees are as followed:
Adult Dog $100.
Puppy $50 (With spay/neuter agreement)
Adult Cat $50
Kitten $25 (With spay/neuter agreement)
All adult dogs are spayed or neutered, heartworm tested, and up to date on shots before adoption. If pet is adopted before it is old enough to be altered, then adopter will be asked to sign an agreement to have the procedure done by a specific date. The adoption process could take 3-5 business days depending on how fast we receive photos and the applicant has called their vet to release vet info. We prefer a fenced in yard, but we carefully take in consideration the location of home, the activity level of the pet (if he or she is a lap dog or a runner), whether or not it will be primarily inside or inside, etc. The adoption committee has every pets best interest in mind when making their decision. We appreciate each and every applicant and adopter for choosing adoption as an option.
