When we first got Valerie, we got her as a rescue. She was around 2 years old (she should be around 9 now). We suspect she was abused, because it was many months before she warmed up to us. She's still somewhat shy, and everything seemed to be fine. But then my daughter had to move back in with us, and with her came her male cat that bullies Valerie (along with a dog). These two cats just absolutely do not get along. He stalks her, and it breaks my heart.
She has gotten to where she's always hiding, refusing to go to the litter boxes (because of the male cat), and won't let us brush her coat out.
I'd much rather see her go to a loving home that can take care of her and love her like she needs.
