My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loki is a friendly, loving, high energy dog. His downside is that he is a runner, with no recall, so needs a securely fenced yard. He would do best living with another high energy dog to play with as weekend trips to the dog park are not enough to expend his energy. He is good with all dogs, big and small.
When he sees another dog on walks his excitement is sometimes extreme, but not always. He has been able to pull away and run off on one occasion. His known commands are sit, heel, down, settle, paw, other paw, stay, go lay down.
He is a lovely Potcake mix, almost 2 years old, neutered, microchipped and responds best to a male figure, although he loves everyone. He has mannerisms of a boxer and an equal energy level.
Loki is very obedient in the house and on leash (except on occasion when he wants to meet another dog), obeys several commands, except he will countersurf and rip apart garbage and recycling. He is generally not destructive.
He should not live with young children due to his energy level.
Loki is looking for a home with another high energy dog, a fully fenced back yard (5 feet or higher), no young children, no cats as he will chase, and an authority figure to manage his energetic behavior. He responds well to rules and structure.
His leash skills and door control are well established and he will respond to a stern "no" at an open door, will stop, sit and wait for direction or to be leashed to go out for a walk.
He is a friendly, loving boy with no issues other than those stated, but does need management.
He has been bounced around and needs someone dedicated to his training and needs.

Loki is a great dog, but he can be a handful - friendly, sweet natured, good with other dogs, too smart to be a dog (he can open cupboards, doors, drawers, crates, kennels) and is very sensitive.
