Lilly
Tag No: 6818
Registered Name: None
Breed: Greyhound Lurcher
Date of Birth: July 2, 2018
Color: Brindle
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: See comments
Kid Friendly: No Young Children
Location: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)
Comments: Can dogs be nerdy? Consider Lilly, a brindle lurcher with tons of personality who is
simultaneously whip-smart and a bit goofy. A brainy and curious introvert who loves bird-
watching and a puzzle game, Lilly is also a loyal and affectionate girl.
Sadly, lovely Lilly has been at GPI waiting for her person for far too long. She has had trouble
finding her family because she is initially very shy with new people. But once Lilly gets to know
and learns to trust a person, she drops the whole wallflower thing and bonds very strongly to her
human friend, devoting her entire self to this relationship.
Lilly loves to learn and works hard to please her human friends. She enjoys forest walks,
behaves nicely on leash, and is generally non-reactive to other dogs she encounters. Lilly also
loves to play. Puzzle games are her favorite, though good luck finding one which challenges
her! She also likes more physical games like chasing balls and stuffed toys.
Lilly is very affectionate and is always happy to receive belly rubs or just cuddle by your side
while you watch Jeopardy together.
The right home for Lilly must have a fenced yard for romping, sunbathing, and of course
birdwatching. Lilly’s new family cannot include other dogs, cats, or young children. Lilly’s
adoption includes four sessions with GPI’s professional trainer.
Here is what Lilly’s best human friend has to say about her:
“Lilly is one the smartest dogs I know! During her training sessions, she is eager to learn and
please. Once she picks up on what we're trying to do, she executes flawlessly.
And while she loves to work, she loves to play! She's adorable throwing around her stuffies.
She is playful and active but listens well to commands and can chill out if needed. We have
some serious cuddles. She also rolls in the grass when it's sunny.
“The bond we've built is as strong as I've had with any of my own dogs. Once she warms up,
she will trust you without question, and be your best friend for life.”
