This is Blackie and he is ready for his furever home! This handsome guy is 4 years young, weighs about 40 lbs, he loves other dogs and cats and great with kids also! He herds cats but shows no aggression towards them and even lets them love on him!
He loves toys and bones but is not your typical off the wall Aussie! He is serious and calm but also loves to rough house with his dog buddies! He walks good on a leash which is great because he needs to lose a few pounds! Blackie does well in his yard or visiting a dog park but having his own fenced yard is preferred so he can expend that energy.
He minds very well with simple commands. He may be a little nervous at first and will pace but does settle down. Blackie also likes to be around his humans and would prefer not being left alone for long periods of time. His former owner clipped him for the summer and we are now beginning to see the floof come back out!
The only thing you must watch out for is that he can be an escape artist and a flight risk so again his own fenced yard with a preferred height of 6ft would be ideal. He knows how to open a gate if it is not locked or secure. He does not like crates and will destroy one if placed in one but there have been no issues and he sleeps by the bed every night.
