My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Birdie — A Gentle Soul Searching for Safety and Understanding! Birdie is a shy, beautifully marked girl with a tender heart — and a story that explains why she needs a little extra patience. After losing her owner, Birdie’s world changed suddenly, and she’s still learning how to feel safe again. New environments can feel overwhelming, but with time, kindness, and consistency, she has every potential to blossom. Birdie prefers to initiate contact on her own terms, and that’s part of what makes her so special. When she feels comfortable, she enjoys the simple joys of life: rolling blissfully in catnip, batting at strings, and quietly playing with her toys. These small moments are where her true personality shines.

Birdie’s Needs & Best Match:

* Gentle, shy, and sensitive
* Needs time to settle in and build trust
* Enjoys calm, quiet play
* Best as an only pet
* No young children — she thrives in a peaceful home

Birdie isn’t looking for a fast-paced household — she’s looking for understanding, patience, and compassion. If you have room in your heart for a cat who needs time to heal and someone willing to let love grow slowly, Birdie may be the one you’ve been waiting for. Birdie is 4 years old, weighs 12 lbs, and is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Come meet Birdie at: Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd., Inverness, FL. ID# 47606857
