Bunny had been living amongst several hotels and convenience stores over the last year south of Cedar Rapids. Everyone was feeding her but no one fixed her. After calls from concerned hotel guests, a volunteer went out and caught her. Upon examination by our veterinary, we found out she was nursing kittens. After searching but not finding her kittens, we released her. Thankfully, she led us immediately to them tucked away in a dumpster. We retrieved the kittens an recaptured Bunny bringing them all back to our Adoption Center. She is still unsure of people but likes to hang out with us. Indoor homes only unless the cat is part of our barn cat program. Home visits are required so we are limit adoptions to counties adjoining Linn County, Iowa. References will be checked and all animals in the household must be spayed/neutered and current on rabies vaccination. We conduct a home visit and have a contract for all adoptions. The adoption fee is $100 for one and $150 for two cats adopted at the same time. The adoption fee may be reduced for senior and special needs cats.
