My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet girl was born in March 2010 and weighs about 55 lbs. She is house trained and a real lady. Licorice walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car. She is a gentle girl who was adopted for over 8 years and returned during COVID when the adopter moved from the area and couldn't take her along. So Licorice lost her home and family. Now she needs a home that will treasure her for the princess she is and provide the love she deserves for her golden years.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
