My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy is a sweet fellow born in May of 2021 and weighing 33 lbs. He is friendly with people and most dogs. Although he can be intimidatd by some people, Xu usually warms up quickly and is eager for attention. He likes to run and play with his doggy buddies and play fetch with his toys.  He also enjoys going for long walks. As an Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler), he has the intelligence and the energy to keep up with your adventures. He really likes to get attention and loves to be petted and loved on.  Xu will be a wonderful companion for some lucky person or family.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
