Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Miss Winnie is a toy Aussie weighing about 15 lbs. She is estimated to be around 6 -8 years old. Her little white snout is not from age, but from the tough life she had before she came to Australian Shepherds Furever. Winnie was found alone at the end of a dirt road in the middle of nowhere and she refused to leave that corner. We believe she was dumped after being used as a puppy mill momma.
Winnie has made great progress since coming to her foster family but she still has a long way to go. She is still learning to trust humans but she will do anything for people's food (especially bacon or rotisserie chicken).
Even though she is missing several teeth, the doctor has given her a clean bill of health and she loves to eat! Winnie loves to play with other small dogs and especially loves long walks. When Winnie thinks no one is watching, she loves to jump on the bed and roll around on the blankets and occasionally talk to the dog in the mirror.
Winnie would be a great addition to a quiet family with another small dog to play with her and teach her the ropes. Winnie will require a fully fenced yard in her adoptive home.
Winnie is current on vaccinations. She is spayed, microchipped, and receives monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. Preventatives are required to be considered for adoption.
She is currently being fostered in St. Louis, Missouri area.
