My story

Skipper is about 3 years old and LOVES to play ball. All vaccines are current and he is neutered and microchipped. He’s a light heartworm positive, but it does not slow him down. He is going to be treated with the slow kill method. Heartgard Plus will be given to his adopter. Skipper is a hefty boy coming in at about 27pounds. He will be fine with female dogs. He’s pretty energetic so no kids or cats. Like all JRTs he needs a securely fenced yard. He needs an owner who knows the feisty terrier personality. And, someone who will throw his tennis ball for him! A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt Skipper. His adoption fee is $275. Please fill out the online adoption application at www.RussellRescue.com if you are interested in this handsome boy. His adopter must be able to drive to the Sherman, Texas area to get him. Why adoption is a great option

Skipper in Sherman, a Dallas/Ft. Worth Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Dallas/Ft. Worth, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas/Ft. Worth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas/Ft. Worth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas/Ft. Worth paves the way for another one to be saved.
