· Cats: WCHS recommends no cats; lived with cats that antagonized him.
· Dogs: WCHS recommends no dogs; lived with dogs that antagonized him.
· Kids: WCHS recommends 12 and up. Previously hid from children in home.
· Personality: Smokey is shy and will need extra time to adjust. He lived in a pretty chaotic home previously, so he might do well in a calm household with not a lot going on. Smokey does love to be held and likes his cheeks scratched.

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
