My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coco is a handsome black-and-white cat with a thoughtful personality and a gentle heart! At almost five years old, he’s at that wonderful stage of life where he’s playful and curious but also appreciates a cozy spot and some quiet companionship.

Formerly known as Ezra, Coco may take a little time to get to know new people, but beneath his slightly shy first impression is a sweet and affectionate cat who enjoys being close to the people he trusts. Once he’s comfortable, he shows his affection in the cutest ways like rubbing his head against you and leaning right into your side while purring with his own distinctive little motor!

The shelter environment can be stressful for Coco, and in the past that stress has affected his appetite. He’ll do best in a calm home where he can decompress and settle in at his own pace. A quiet, predictable environment will help him feel safe and allow his true personality to shine.

In a comfortable home, Coco enjoys watching the world from a sunny window, entertaining himself with toys, and keeping an eye on the action like a true spectator... especially if there’s a soccer game on TV! He also has a chatty side and will happily “talk” when he’s getting attention.

Coco would thrive with a patient adopter who understands that the best relationships with cats are often the ones that grow slowly. With time, understanding, and a peaceful home, Coco has all the potential to become a deeply affectionate and loyal companion.

If you are interested in adopting Coco, please email mal1027@aol.com to arrange an initial meet and greet with the pet’s foster parent or a staff member. They will reply to you within 24-48 hours.
