Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brutus a tall 3-year-old guy who is great good with dog savvy kids as young as 4, cats, dogs big/small, male/female-he really doesn’t mind. He knows basic commands and will listen to the 4-year-old. He does good on outings, loves to meet people and could possibly be a do therapy visits with more fine tuning. While he’s calm inside, would benefit for a good walk or two each day depending on his environment. He would make a good jogging partner or some time romping around the yard. Brutus had an emergency in his fosters house and has dealt with the changing environment with little fanfare. The house has become more busy with visitors and he’s handled it beautifully.
Brutus knows sit, down, paw, wait and it working on stay. He knows to sit and wait to go inside as well as for his food when asked. He’s good on a leash, will little pulling and is easily corrected. He’s food and praise motivated so anything new you want to teach him should be a breeze.
Does this trifecta have a flaw? Yes, he counter surfs and needs a little work on his recall. He’s not one to bolt away, more like oh this smell over here is more interesting than coming to you right now. He’s also a horrible beggar.
Don’t let this guy pass you by, he should adjust to any household with ease. If we were grading him, I would give him a 95 out of 100.
