My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ava is a happy, snuggly, friendly girl is about 2 yrs old and weighs 46 lbs. Ava was surrendered to a shelter by her owners in South Carolina when she became pregnant. Her puppies were all adopted out before Ava came to Lovepaws, and now it's her turn to find a forever home.

Ava gets along well with the other dogs and cats in her foster home (doesn't pay much attention to the cats) and is house trained and crate trained. She is good with the 12 year old girl in her foster home, but since there are no younger kids in the home, any kids in her forever home should be 8 and up. She is a bit timid in new situations and environments and needs some time to decompress and settle in. Ava is up to date on vaccines and microchipped and will be spayed very soon.

***The adoption fee for this dog is $375 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.***

***Applicants must be at least 25 years old.***

***Please note that our first step is submitting an application (it does not commit you in any way but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit).  In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.***
