Meet Anubis!
He is a 3- 4-year-old blue rust Doberman Pinscher. This sweet hunk full of love is looking for his forever happiness. Anubis is cat-, dog-, and people-friendly. He arrived back in December 2020 in very poor condition. After months of fighting worms, giardia, and horrible IBS, he finally has gained and continues to gain a healthy weight. Anubis is extremely affectionate very clingy and has 0 understanding of personal space when it comes to him invading anyone. He is a LOVER! Anubis was heartworm and lyme positive but after treatment, fast forward a year he has tested and remains negative, finally. Anubis would do great with older kids, another playful active dog is nice but not necessary, and with a nice fenced-in yard with daily walks he is thrilled. He loves going on walks and playing with his humane and car rides. Anubis needs someone who will allow him to be him - a huge goofy clingy teddy bear who has 0 notions of his size and always wishes to cuddle and snuggle. Anubis is like a toddler experiencing life. He has so much joy in him. Anubis is house and crate trained. He loves his crate but has slowly learned not to depend on it. He also loves bedding and his stuffed toys which we call nubis. Anubis is very food-motivated as well so training is super easy and fun for him.
Anubis is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a lifetime commitment.
