My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Queenie!

This royal lady is roughly 6 years old, spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and all ready to find her castle. Queenie is a dignified and independent cat who has become very comfortable with making her boundaries known. She likes her personal space and does not appreciate being pet without her say so. When she's in the mood, Queenie can be quite affectionate on her own terms! She enjoys rubbing up against our staff's legs when she's out of her kennel and loves to run around. Her personality is completely different inside her kennel than outside of it, where she has the option to stay or go. When she isn't in the mood for attention, she isn't shy about letting you know. If you can respect her body language and personal space, it's pretty easy to become friends with miss Queenie!

Queenie used to have a habit of not getting along with other cats, but we haven't seen this behavior since she's been at the shelter for some time. She would thrive as an only pet, but that isn't her only option. Queenie may do fine with another submissive pet in the home, one that can respect her personal space and warning signs. However, she likely would not be a good match for another dominant animal, as they may challenge her. We offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to ensure a good fit for all members of the family.

If you're interested in getting to know Queenie, stop by HSoP between 2:00-6:00pm Monday through Saturday. Please note that our dog kennels close at 5:00pm each day.

HSoP is located at 2019 E White Ave Moscow, ID 83843.
