*Meet Dallas! Dallas is a Husky mix with a playful and spirited personality. She was found on the side of the road and, after being surrendered and adopted, has shown she’s ready for a fresh start in the perfect home. Though she doesn’t get along with cats or small animals, she’s a sweetheart with bigger dogs and absolutely loves to play. She’s got a real love for water, whether it’s splashing around in a kiddie pool or just running through the sprinklers. Toys and treats? Yes, please! Dallas is an energetic girl who thrives on fun, and she’d love a family that can give her plenty of outdoor adventures. Dallas would do best in a home without small children (under 10), as her energy and playfulness can be a little overwhelming for younger ones. She’ll make an amazing companion for someone who understands her breed’s needs and is ready to give her all the love and attention she deserves. Could Dallas be the perfect addition to your family? *To make an appointment to meet Dallas, please complete your application at this link: https://PetsFurPeople.org/pre-application/ Follow it up with a phone call. More about this shelter
The Humane Society of East Texas was established in 1963 by concerned citizens after they visited the City of Tyler’s inadequate animal impoundment facility. In 2013 we changed our name to Pets Fur People. The focuses shifted to promoting spay and neuter options, educating the community, and emptying the kennels in a good way. The public continues to view the shelter as a public entity and is typically unaware that it receives no public funding or support from national organizations. All funding for the shelter is obtained through adoptions (18 percent), contributions (37 percent), and fundraisers (42 percent).
