Dually and his siblings were pulled from the Cedar Creek Humane Society as owner turn ins. Dually and his brother, Nitro, are the only two left that we have. Dually is such a handsome boy, very calm and gentle. He gets along with other dogs, male or female. He likes to dip his feet into a nice, cool pool of water, in the summer months. He is not a fan of thunder, fireworks and flashlights, but is not scared of them. He thinks he can bark away the things he is not fond of. He would make a wonderful companion for someone.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
When a potential adopter identifies a dog or cat in which they are interested, they contact Before the Bridge to request an application. Once the application is received and approved, a home visit is set up during which we bring the chosen pet to the adopter's home to meet and greet with all the occupants both human and animal. If the home visit goes smoothly, the adopter will sign a contract and pay a $200 donation fee ($100 for cats). We then leave the pet in their new Forever Home and do a followup phone call in a week or so to see how things are going.
*Please note: Although the City of Garland Shelter is making great strides in the right direction in their treatment of Pit Bulls, they still have a long way to go. Therefore, Before the Bridge does not adopt Pit Bulls to residents in Garland. We regret this inconvenience and will continue to monitor changes in that City.

More about this rescue
Before the Bridge is comprised of 3 die hard rescuers. We are a new group, formed in September of 2008, but our rescue experience spans many years. Dogs and cats are now housed at a new location in Caddo Mills. Dogs are routinely transported to local adoption events for the public to see. Folks may also take a look at our Adoption Book to look for their new friend and companion. We also have pets listed on a fellow rescuers site. We accept any breed but have specialized in Pit Bull rescue. Because we are small, our space is limited as well as our finances. Donations of money, food, or supplies are always very welcome. We do not euthanize to make room for another animal so when we are full, we must say no to taking in a new rescue.
