This rescue does not adopt out of state
TJ is the perfect gentleman. He walks well on a leash, he is house trained and he likes everyone he meets. TJ came to our rescue because his owners took him to a local veterinarian and asked that he be euthanized because of his age. The veterinarian refused to euthanize him because he said there was nothing physically or medically wrong with him. TJ stayed at the veterinarians office for many months waiting for someone to give him a home. We recently brought him into our rescue and he is in a foster home who has nothing But good things to say about him.
TJ is totally vetted . He has all of his vaccines, he is on a heartworm preventative , he is neutered and has even had a dental. In his foster home there is three other dogs in the house small to large and TJ likes everyone. His foster mom put a harness on him and he goes and he sits by the door waiting to take his walk. The only thing that we would tell you that his special needs would be his belly gets upset if the dog food is switched so the vet has recommended that he eat a prescription food. TJ s located in Lehigh acres Florida and we would be glad to talk to anyone about offering him a home . Personally I find it very hard to believe that he is 15 years old but that is what the owner said. He does not behave as a senior dog. He walks well and he behaves like the perfect gentleman.
