Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Django is a sweet 1-year-old male tri that came from a complicated home. His owners were getting a divorce and there was a lot of unrest. For this reason, Django is a tad leery of strangers and wary of men. With a slow introduction and a little training - and some string cheese - he will be your best friend in a flash.
Django is crate trained but prefers to simply be by your side, on the couch, in the bed, or wherever you are. He is an excellent cuddler. He is happy to play fetch or play with other dogs. He occasionally needs to be reminded that his owners can love all the pets without loving him any less!
Django does well with cats but unknown with kids. His ideal home would have kids older than 12 years of age. He walks great on a leash and is completely housebroken. He does fine being left alone and will happily nap under your chair while you work from home.
His ideal adopter would be patient and willing to slowly introduce him to new things and provide him lots of love. Django is a super sweet boy that thrives on attention.
Django came into rescue with some serious allergies - possibly seasonal and/or flea allergies that were left untreated. He developed a nasty staph infection from this, which he has been treated for. Therefore, his adopter needs to be aware and watch for seasonal allergies and he should remain on flea/tick prevention. His seasonal allergies can be easily treated with the human drug, Benadryl.
Django is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. He is receiving monthly preventatives for fleas/ticks and heartworm prevention. He is fostered in the St Louis, MO area.
