My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Homer is a homing pigeon who isn't so great at homing. He was released by his owner over a year ago, and turned up this year in a local shelter. When the owner was called (Homer is banded), the owner refused to pay the $10 to get him out of the shelter because he was "no good".

Unfortunately, that left Homer with nowhere to go, and he was in danger of being euthanized. Homer is now residing with ACR&S in a palatial cage where he can get some exercise, with lots of delicious food and fresh water.

The ideal home for Homer would be someone who loves pigeons and doves, and has others of his species that he can live with and whose company he can enjoy. Please contact us for more information on Homer!
