Sweet Kitty " Kissa " for Adoption or Long Term Foster – Owner in Assisted Living

Kissa is a sweet girl kitty who has fallen on hard times again. She is such a love and a true companion kitty. Kissa has a loud adorable purr and is cuddly and extremely lovable. She loves to snooze in your lap and make biscuits, and be near you to help you with whatever you are doing. She will go over and tap her laser when she is ready to play! She will develop a strong bond with her caregiver. She may be a little shy for maybe the first week but will quickly become a lap cat and a total love bug! She has a tiny touch of sass which makes her very personable! She is a beautiful Grey like a Russian Blue with some a few Tabby stripes, and lovely green eyes.
Kissa was rescued as a kitten by a longtime volunteer who spayed and neutered many of the community cats in New Orleans. She was found helpless in the Treme neighborhood after her mama cat had passed away from getting hit by a car. She was only 3 weeks old so her and her siblings were bottle fed by her foster Amy who was a good friend of the volunteer. Sadly, they were the last litter of kittens the wonderful volunteer had rescued before she passed away from cancer.
So Kissa has lived inside the past 5 and a half years as a companion kitty and was the only pet in the household. Her adaptor loved her very much but suddenly had a stroke and had to be placed recently in assisted living. Her former bottle feeder Amy is again fostering Kissa and we are hoping to place her in another loving home.
Kissa has a cute, unique personality! For instance, she will stare out the window for 15 minutes then come sit on Amy’s lap for the next 15 minutes and then repeat that back and forth for hours while Amy works on the computer, LOL! She is quite amusing!
Amy has a large dog who is not cat friendly so Kissa has to be kept separately which isn’t a great situation for this sweet girl who loves companionship. She was afraid of the dog initially, but now seems to want to bond, however the doggie is not having it! Although she has not been around other cats since she was a kitten, we think she would be ok with a small dog or another cat after a proper patient integration.
Kissa is up to date on shots, but since her owner can no longer read right or talk, we don’t know what vet she used. However, she had travelled with Kissa in Oct. and had got her all vaccinations. But another round of shots can be covered if needed. She was also tested for Feluk/FIV as a kitten and was healthy, but she can be re-tested again if requested. She is in excellent health and is very tidy with great manners so she's a perfect loving house kitty!
Kissa is such a love and all she wants is to be near her human. Her name Kissa means cat in Finish but it also describes her sweet personality!
