My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of our fosters was driving down the street and saw a black puppy standing in a ditch. She pulled over to see what was what and discovered that this little creature was a full grown dog, but very emaciated. Despite her poor physical shape she was one happy, friendly dog though, and didn't need to be asked twice to hop in the car and start a new life. These pictures show Nellie after a week of good food, human love and canine companionship. She's starting to look good already, although her bones still stick out a little bit. Nellie loves her foster home and everybody loves her back. She obviously has had no training, but she's already learned sit and is doing her best not to jump up, no matter how badly she wants to say hello and give a kiss. She enjoys human attention but isn't too needy, and she gets along great with fellow foster dog Joe, with whom she is sharing a sniff in the picture below. She's just what you'd expect out of a little lab mix girl - friendly, energetic, and easy to love.
