If you`re a nut for Saddlebreds, Charlotte may just be the horse for you! Surrendered to Longmeadow in March of 2021, Charlotte was malnourished and nervous. Through lots of love, food, and time she has blossomed into the horse she is today. While she tends to remain high energy, she continues to build trust with her handlers more and more as the days pass. She enjoys working and settles into a routine very nicely. Her overall demeanor softens and she relaxes with more work. Charlotte would be perfectly happy being a pasture pet if you aren`t interested in riding. Just for handling her on the ground she will need a confident intermediate handler. She is a kind mare that has never been naughty even when stressed. We are confident that she will blossom in a new home with an adopter who spends time developing her trust. Update: Charlotte is currently being ridden at the walk and trot with tack and rider. She seems very happy to be working. She is still a bit anxious when mounting and requires a strong intermediate to advanced rider.

Horses, cows, goats, potbellied pigs and other animals at our Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union, MO are available for visits during our Open House / Adoption Days every Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are interested in meeting our adoptable animals or our Barn Buddies who are available for sponsorship, please visit the ranch during one of these days or call 636-583-8759 to schedule a visit on another day.
