Description of pet
Hickory is a sweet, active, friendly, confident, lab/shepherd mix who is looking for a family to love. He is the largest of his litter, and loves to lay cuddled up next to you. He is one of the most outgoing and also most snuggly of the litter and is currently fostered with two other dogs and cats. He is 7 months old, is crate and house trained, knows sit, and other basic commands. He learns quickly, is super smart, and is both treat and praise orientated. He currently weighs about 40 lbs, and is expected to weight 65lbs or more.

Hickory would love a family who is active and enjoys spending time with their dog. He loves water, and will love to go hiking, walking or visiting other doggy playmates. Hickory loves to play with other dogs and would do best with a medium to large dog to play with.

Hickory was part of a cruelty and neglect case and spent his life with his littermates. He would be happiest with another dog. He can be adopted with any of his littermates. He is currently in a foster home in Peoria, IL with medium and small dogs and cats. He can be transported anywhere in the US for the right family.

All dog are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies unless too young, fecal and HW tested, microchipped, groomed, flea/hw preventative, and come home with their collar.

Requirements: adoption application, in person or virtual home visit, $300 adoption fee, adoption contract
