Briar is a sweet, active, friendly and slightly shy lab mix who is looking for a family to love. He has a bit of a howl in his bark, and loves to lay on top of you, or be cuddled up next to you. He is one of the shyest and most snuggly of the litter and is currently fostered with Cyrus. He is 6 months old, is crate and house trained, is learning sit, and other basic commands. He learns quickly, but is easily distracted, is both treat and praise orientated. He currently weighs about 35 lbs, and is expected to weight 65lbs or more.
Briar would love a family who is active and enjoys spending time with their dog. He loves water, and as he gets more confident on a leash, will love to go hiking, walking or visiting other doggy playmates. Briar loves to play with other dogs and would do best with a medium to large dog to play with.
Briar was part of a cruelty and neglect case and spent his life with his littermates. He would be happiest with another dog. He can be adopted with any of his littermates. He is currently in a foster home with medium and small dogs.
All dog are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines including rabies unless too young, fecal and HW tested, microchipped, groomed, flea/hw preventative, and come home with their collar. Briar is in Columbia, TN and transport can be arranged to adopters living more than 2 hrs away for a donation to the rescue.
