Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Asher - Lab/GSD Mix - Male - 1 Yr - www.twyla.org
If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org
Asher is an active and snuggly 1 year old male Lab/German Shepard mix who is currently about 50 lbs. He was found as a stray and had a ‘never met a stranger’ personality when his rescuer found him and brought him home for safe keeping.
He is a playful pup who is getting along well with the foster family’s 2 large dogs and one smaller dog (though admittedly the smaller dog is not as fond of him, so he usually lets her be). While he occasionally finds a stuffed animal to unstuff, overall he’s learned what toys are ok to play with. He walks well on a leash and is potty and crate trained. Asher gets along with kids of all ages but as he still likes to greet people by jumping up, he would need to be watched with younger kids. He has not interacted with a cat but as he learned his limits with the Foster’s small dog he would likely do the same with a cat.
Asher is a smart pup who will do well in a home with regular activities such as daily walks and family who would enjoy working with him on new commands and tricks. He is also enjoys snuggling with his foster family on the couch, especially when there is popcorn to be shared.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
