My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam is a shy but really sweet boy. He really gets along well with other cats and doesn't seem to be scared of dogs. He loves to be pet and can be quite cuddly once he warms up to you. He is gentle with kids and likes adults too.

Thanks to the 2023 Kia Pet Adoption Grant, Sam's adoption fee has been waived.

PCHS is a volunteer organization created in 2005 to stop the euthanasia of unclaimed animals at the local pound.
Our shelter facility opened it's doors August 4th, 2011.

Our mission is to prevent suffering, neglect, abuse and cruelty to animals through community awareness and education, promoting responsible pet ownership and ending the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals in Pawnee County, Kansas. Since 2005, we have helped over 2,000 lost, stray, dumped, or relinquished animals to find loving homes.
