My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Twix
It will be easy for you to tell the difference between Tigger the 3rd and myself. I`M the handsome one! Yes, we both have dark brown Tabby coats with white feet, chins, and bellies. But I am younger, at only 1.9-years-old, and more outgoing. When the interviewer lady was here with all four of us in Roaming Room 2, Elvis and I went right up to her soliciting pets and chin scratches. But Tigger the 3rd stayed curled up in his little house. I rolled onto my side for belly rubs while Tigger was busy bathing himself. [To be fair, Tigger is a great cat, I just have to look out for #1!] I`m a charming fellow, neutered, litterbox proficient, and healthy. I was born at the HSHC (such a cute baby!), but on May 21st, my owner surrendered me because I was unwanted. Oooh, that hurts. I lived happily with them, dogs, and kids aged 7 to 12 years. Oh well, no use crying over spilled Meow Mix. I am a friendly, affectionate, and good-natured fellow, so I know someone will want to add me to their family! 6-21-23

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
